Step 1
Air enters via the shielded air slot on the underside. This prevents clogging and prevents particles that are larger than the entry slot from entering.
Step 2
Curved particle accelerator blades guide air and dirt upwards along the side wall.
Step 3
Fins on the inner surface convey all dirt particles heavier than air to the output slot.
Step 4
Clean air is recirculated downwards into the engine air intake.
