LOCTITE® 518 cures in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces. The anaerobic surface sealant is used for torsion-resistant iron, aluminium and steel flanges. Can bridge gaps up to 0.25 mm, and forms a flexible, chemical-resistant seal. Connections can be detached easily, even after long periods of use. Typical applications include sealing close-fitting connections between torsion-resistant metal sealing and flange surfaces. The product is also used to produce surface seals on torsion-resistant flange connections, e.g. gearbox and motor housings. NEW: Henkel has recently improved the LOCTITE 518 product formulation and now offers:
