• Double-edged
The double-edged screw extractor is part of a new generation of tools for removing broken screws or threaded bolts from threaded holes. The extractor has 4 cutting edges, with only the two opposite cutting edges engaging with the material to be turned out. This means that it can be used for right- and left-hand threads.
Function: A centring device is inserted into the part to be disassembled by means of a centre point, and drilled out using the respective drill bit. The screw extractor is driven into the hole so that the cutting edges penetrate the part to be disassembled. Using a spanner or tap wrench (size 1), the extractor is then turned clockwise or anticlockwise (depending on the thread) and removed from the threaded hole. After unscrewing, the disassembled part is removed from the screw extractor.
